Opportunities to serve in Resurrection Lutheran Church and for our community. Christianity is about helping others, and a church can do many things through its members to help unite the local communities and to assist the needy, including the homeless and poor people.

When Jesus taught the importance of helping the less privileged, he made it clear the blessings that will follow a helping hand. He said:

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” – Mathew 25:35-36.

As Christians, part of our duty is to act in a moral way, which involves extending a helping hand to others in need. As such, Resurrection Lutheran Church will help members provide help through volunteering opportunities. The volunteers often get to engage in opportunities such as:

  • Providing food banks for the people living in poverty
  • Help the homeless get shelter
  • Supporting our recovery community
  • Charity events, etc.
