Love, according to God’s teaching, is fundamentally the basis for all forms of leadership. First, it must be noted that God is Love (1 John 4:8). Numerous verses in the Bible emphasize the power of love in leadership. For example, in 1 Corinthians 13, Paul talks about the transformational nature of love, and how it’s greater than the spiritual gifts like faith and hope. In John 13:35, Jesus tells His disciples that other people will recognize and know them by their love.
